Employment contracts and legal documents
A contract is drafted for your joint committee, not from a template found online. We start from yours, from its pay scales and from the collective agreements that apply.
In practice
A Belgian employment contract is not a standard document. What it must contain depends on your joint committee, which sets the minimum pay scales, the bonuses, the deadlines and sometimes mandatory clauses. A template downloaded online knows none of that, and it is precisely what an inspector looks at first.
We draft the contract from your sector and the actual situation: permanent or fixed-term, full-time or part-time, student, flexi-job, replacement. The work rules follow, mandatory from your first worker. And the day a contract ends, we produce the C4, the certificates and the final settlement.
What is included
- Permanent, fixed-term, replacement, part-time, student and flexi-job
- Work rules, amendments and mandatory annexes
- Temporary employment: applicable framework and formalities
- End of contract: C4, certificates and final settlement
- Notice periods and severance calculations
Frequently asked questions
What employers ask us most often about this.
Which contract for a first hire?
It depends on how long the need lasts and on your joint committee, not on preference. A permanent contract is no riskier than a badly drafted fixed-term one: we start from the need and tell you what your sector allows.
Are work rules mandatory?
Yes, from the first worker, and everyone must receive a copy. They set the working hours, the company rules and the statements the law requires. We draft them and keep them current.
How is a notice period calculated?
It depends on seniority, the type of contract and which party terminates. Once those are known the calculation is mechanical: we run it and produce the leaving documents that go with it.
A question about this in particular?
Ask it. A handler answers within 24 working hours, without jargon.
